Free cases for iPhone 4 users

It was just annouced in today’s press conference that Apple will be offering free cases to users of the new iPhone 4. If you are unhappy with your phone you can return it within 30 days without the typical restocking fees. The San Francisco Chronicle is blogging live from the event:. Quoting Steve Jobs:

He said 60 million people came through stores last quarter. “When we fall short, which we do sometimes, we try harder. We pick ourselves up, we figure out what went wrong and we try harder.” That’s what drives us, he says.

While taking questions from executives after his presentation, Steve said there is no need to change current antennas. ALso, Steve has reinforced that he had no prior warning about the signal issue. Its worth taking a look at the full transcript (not available at time or writing) to see all the stats and comparisons with the 3GS. Seems there are less returns of the 4 than the 3GS.

What do you think? WIll you return yours, get a free case, or have you been waiting for the 5?
