The Godfather house
Connie Profaci realty of Staten Island NY has the original Godfather house listed for sale. Their description:
ENCHANTING ENGLISH TUDOR, PARKLIKE 24,000 SQ FT GROUNDS, SELECTED LOCATION FOR FILMING “THE GODFATHER”, 12 ROOMS, 8 BEDROOMS, 4 1/2 BATHS, 2 FIREPLACES, PUB BASEMENT, 4 CAR GARAGE, INGROUND POOL.
The house itself is 6,248 Sq Ft and is listed at $2,900,000 ($464/sq ft). Built in 1930 on a .55 acre lot, the house was used for mostly exterior shots in the first of the Godfather trilogy. The Norton family has lived there for 50 years but for over 18 months it was the Corleone house. The listing has only been active for 21 days at the time of this writing but I’m sure we’ll some movement on it even in this economy.
